I suggest picking a few images and asking him to chose one.) Once you have a photo, write down why you chose it as an image that you believe portrays the nature of dominance. Then, for one week (seven days), twice each day you are to kneel facing the image and stare at the image for not less than five minutes at a time. As you stare at the image (yes, you are allowed to blink) think about the nature of dominance, the place of your/a Dominant in your life, and about how your submissive nature interacts with those of a dominant nature. No, one ten minute session a day of kneeling while facing the image is not fulfilling the assignment. Kneel at two separate times each day. For each time, you may kneel and look at the image for more than five minutes, but not less than five minutes. On the seventh day, after the last kneeling time for this assignment, you are to write down your thoughts about the image and about dominance. Write down any insights about dominance and/or yourself that you gained from kneeling and looking at the image. Write down how you feel about the assignment. – – – – – Why would a submissive think about dominance? Well, my hope is that this assignment helps the submissive gain some perspective. Because part of understanding submission is understanding what dominance means to the submissive and how submission interacts with dominance. Assignment 4 Requirements: A small amount of time each day Optionally, a towel or blanket or yoga mat on which to kneel Every day for one week, after you wake up and before you go to bed (that is twice a day for those of you keeping track at home), you will kneel and repeat a small mantra three times. Your kneeling position, unless otherwise instructed by your Dominant, will be to kneel with your knees shoulder width apart, your ass on your heels, your back straight, your hands palms up and resting on your thighs, and your eyes looking straight ahead. The small mantra you will speak out loud three times will be this: I am a submissive. I serve with strength and grace. I am a submissive. This mantra will be repeated at least three times (feel free to repeat it more), two times a day, once after waking up and once before going to bed, every day for one week (seven consecutive days). Submissives willing and able to do more should perform the assignment either naked or wearing the T-shirt/camisole from sub assignment number 3. Doing the assignment while facing a mirror is even better. – – – – – This assignment should not take more than a few minutes of each day, and so should be relatively easy to do. Hopefully this will help the submissive to think about her actions through the day, and to improve the submissive’s confidence in being a good submissive. What I said at the top of this post is not a tease. I will not create assignments if I have no reason to believe anyone is using them. But also, the comments are not just for my benefit. Of course I want to know submissives are using and getting benefit from the assignments. However, the real point in asking submissives to leave a comment when they start and when the complete an assignment is so that other submissives can see that these assignments are being done. Sub Assignment Number 3 Okay, so the previous assignment for submissives is not popular. To use an odd metaphor, apparently the assignment was a bite bigger than most of you wanted to chew. So this assignment will be more modest. Indeed, it almost seems too easy. But we shall see. First, the ground rules. •Participation in these assignments is always voluntary. •If you, O submissive reader, choose to accept an assignment, you are to indicate your acceptance by leaving a comment below saying that you have chosen to accept the assignment. •When you complete the assignment, say so in the comments. And preferably within the time frame given for the assignment. •If for some reason you are unable to complete an assignment that you accepted, leave a comment saying so. •If you are a submissive currently serving a Dominant, and you desire to accept one of the assignments, you should first discuss the assignment with and get permission from your Dominant before accepting it. Also, there is no judgement from me for non-completion of assignments. I am not your Dominant. The purpose of these assignments is not for me to be telling you what to do. The purpose is to remind the submissive that she is always a submissive. Underneath all the things we show other people, our true natures remain. When one goes out into the world, one’s true nature is present even if other people do not always recognize it. Assignment 2 Requirements: some time each day during a seven day period (and optionally a yoga mat if one is available and your Dominant allows its use) This assignment will take place over a period of seven consecutive days. Choose one of the kneeling positions listed below and practice it for a total of at least thirty minutes a day for five days, for a total of at least forty-five minutes the sixth day, and a total of at least sixty minutes the seventh day. One need not practice the chosen position for the full amount of time all at once, but it must be practiced in segments of no less than ten minutes. Yes, that does mean that on the sixth day at least one kneeling period must be longer than ten minutes. Any kneeling period less than ten minutes does not count toward your total. Yes, that does mean that nine minutes and fifty-nine seconds or less does not count. No, you may not choose a different position if you decide after beginning the assignment that the position you chose is “too hard”. You may use a timer to keep track of your time while kneeling. You may, of course, spend more time each day kneeling than the assignment requires. Kneeling for a total of four hours and fifteen minutes (the total amount of kneeling time this assignment requires) in one or two days, however will not be a successful completion of the assignment. The assignment requires kneeling each day for seven consecutive days. – – – – – I hope that is clear enough. No kneeling for brief periods of time like two minutes or five minutes. Ten minutes or more. This is should not be overly difficult, but it is not supposed to be too easy either. For the first five days, you might try three periods of ten minutes, or two periods of fifteen minutes. Neither of which should be too difficult to accomplish. For the sixth day, you could do three periods of ten minutes and one period of fifteen minutes, or three periods of fifteen minutes. These are just examples. You can divide the time as suits your schedule. The only requirement for time is that each period of kneeling must last at least ten minutes. What you wear while kneeling is up to you and/or your Dominant.
